How to find the right needle:
Fine jerseys, thick wool, hard twill: because each fabric has different needle requirements, there is a wide selection of different machine needles. The thickness must match the weight of the material to be embroidered, the tip to the fabric type and the needle system to the machine.
Basically:
- The thinner the yarn and the finer the base, the lower the needle size. - The thicker the embroidery thread, the higher the needle size should be - because then the eye is larger.
Tipp:
Thread the yarn through the unused needle. Hold the twine ends with both hands and let the needle slide through the eye alternately by lifting the left and right hands. The needle is right when the needle slides smoothly by its own weight back and forth.
